00:27:01.230 --> 00:27:05.030 And this matters when we consider what's at stake, namely, the ability 00:27:05.030 --> 00:27:07.010 for the public to engage in discourse that 00:27:07.010 --> 00:27:09.950 supports a well-functioning democracy. 00:27:09.950 --> 00:27:13.280 So I'll first present you a brief overview of where we came from 00:27:13.280 --> 00:27:16.430 and where we are now, 00:32:00.910 --> 00:32:04.210 The dissemination of fake news explodes on social media 00:32:04.210 --> 00:32:07.810 because the structure of digital environments, from likes to retweets, 00:32:07.810
