SPEAKER 1: OK, so our third puzzle of this year was called Metaverse Hospital. And for this one we had about 1,000 of you submit a correct answer, and 500 submit an answer that was almost there, but just not quite. So let me turn it over to our friends at Meta to help us solve and walk through this puzzle here. SPEAKER 2: Hello, everyone. I'm Amy. I'm also a software engineer at Meta. And I wrote the puzzle Metaverse Hospital. And I heard it was one of the harder puzzles in the puzzle hunt this year. So yeah, I'm here to walk you through the solution. So the first part of the puzzle you're met with a bunch of emojis and some numbers. After some thinking and looking at the flavor text and the title, you'll come to realize that all these emojis are colloquial names of diseases. And you can then-- for example, the first one is milk and leg. Actually milk leg is a disease. And you can find the scientific name, which then matches the answer format that we're looking for. So once you have all of this, you can go back to the bottom part of the emoji section. And you'll see like, oh, what does this fire and two mean? If you take a look at the flavor text, we specifically say that it's a Californian hospital. So actually, there are emergency codes that are associated with colors, for example, red for fire, or code orange for a hazardous material or spill. And so you can match these up with the emojis in the bottom section to get a color associated with each of them. And then if you go back to the first section, you can see in the front row some of these colors are a bit suspicious. Like for example, the sickle emoji is not usually purple. So you can see that the first emoji in each section would be white, red, blue, pink, orange, and so on. And so if you match the index given in the bottom section to the color in the first emoji, you can get the answer payments.
